Notes: This is the animated nativity created by Prior Evaristo Carreiro Gouveia, the priest of the Church of Nossa Senhora da Estrela (Our Lady of the Star), Matriz parish – Ribeira Grande, in 1911. This traditional nativity is a cultural, historical, religious and ethnographic representative of Ribeira Grande people. It’s on deposit at the Municipal Museum since 1985.
